MT ELIZA HOUSE

This mid century house was designed to take in its beautiful surroundings and the ocean view. The space was all there, the interior was just very tired and the exterior weather beaten. The layout was tweaked in some places to improve flow and function and all existing windows and doors were replaced and double glazed. Hardwearing, simple finishes have been used throughout and the new joinery designed sympathetically to the era of the house. The house now has a cohesive interior with striking elements that enhance the view.

"The brief for our full house renovation was to: update the interior whilst taking inspiration from the house’s mid-century modern origins; make the most of the bay views and natural light; highlight the home’s architectural features and generous proportions; and, improve its functionality.
